Spanish painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso, one of the famous and influential artists of the 20th century is being honored by the German writing instrument manufacturer Montblanc as they have unveiled two Artisan Edition Pablo Picasso Limited Edition writing instruments to pay homage to the life and work of the artist.
One of the two limited edition pens is the Artisan Edition Pablo Picasso Limited Edition 91 which features a 750 solid gold cap and Picasso’s famous “Ojo” drawing carved 18 carat gold rhodium plated nib. Priced at $34,000 this pen is designed to honor the lifetime work of the artist.
The second writing instrument is the Artisan Edition Pablo Picasso Limited Edition 39 which features a 750 solid white gold cap with a Montblanc diamond. The pen is limited to just 39 units with a price tag of $55,250 and is designed to honor Picasso’s 39 drawings of his muse, Sylvette David.
These Artisan Edition Pablo Picasso Limited Edition writing instruments will be available at Montblanc boutiques from September 2012.
