We all usually dream to own a bigger and spacious house, but there is one guy who used to dream just the opposite. Berlin based architect Van Bo Le-Mentzel wanted to create a house that he could take with him.
One SQM House is what he came up with, world’s smallest house that is only one meter square. It features an office, a bedroom and is equipped with a window, chair and a lockable door. This portable structure is on wheels, weighs 90 pounds and can be turned on its side for sleeping.
You can rent the One-Sqm-House house for just €1 for a night. However if you want to build one for yourself, you have to spend $300. BMW Guggenheim Lab is hosting a One SQM House Workshop in Berlin on July 8 where you can get all the material and instructions needed to build the house.
