Indian art auction house Saffronart is hosting India’s first prominent Art Deco sale in a 24-hour online auction which will starts tomorrow.
Art Deco inspired items such as furniture, architecture, interior, jewelry and accessories which were created in Art Deco style for Indian aristocrats between the 1920s and 1940s will be highlight of the sale.

A PAIR OF OCCASIONAL CHAIRS
More than hundred Art Deco furniture, accessories and jewelry collectibles have been sourced from all across the globe which includes pieces owned by Indian Maharajas and Maharanis. Some of the featured items in the sale are:
Lot no.1 is A Partner’s Desk made from Teakwood, finished in dark wood trim and measuring 30 x 69 x 39 inches which is expected to sell between Rs 1,50,000 – 2,00,000.

Lot no. 2 is a diamond and gold custom-made bracelet watch created for Maharani Padmavati Devi of Baroda which can go between Rs 2,60,000 – 3,50,000.

Another item is a polished teakwood desk with rosewood stained trim which is expected to sell between Rs 40,000 – 60,000.
