The NAMM Show, one of world’s largest music product trade shows kicked off at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, USA today.
Manufacturer of DJ accessories and audio equipment, Numark has introduced an innovative DJ controller called Orbit at the NAMM 2013 show which is the world’s first wireless handheld DJ controller. Designed to be held in the hands, fasten to the body with a built-in clip and also to be used on a table top, Numark’s Orbit is built especially for live performances.
The first-of-its-kind DJ controller features 4 selectable banks of 16 backlit pads, 2-axis accelerometer, 4 bank selection buttons at the center, aluminum-faced touch-sensitive control wheel and 4 virtual knobs. Numark’s Orbit can be used wirelessly using 2.4 GHz ultra-low-latency connectivity or you can also plug-in via the included USB cable which also charges it.
There is no word on the availability, the software it run on and the pricing of the Orbit DJ controller.
