World famous guitar designer Olaf Diegel known for making 3D-Printed Guitars has created an exclusive one-of-a-kind guitar which will be on display at the National Association of Music Merchants Show (NAMM 2013) in Anaheim, CA.
This unique and beautiful 3D printed guitar is named Americana which nests some of most iconic landmarks of New York City inside its body like the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Chrysler Building, Freedom Tower, Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Yankee Stadium and the Love sculpture by artist Robert Indiana.
While visiting his wife in New York, the artist was fascinated by the vibe of the city and the patriotism of the people for their country. This feeling and nature of the people provided him the inspiration to create the Americana guitar.
Covered with stars and stripes, the bodies are printed by 3D Systems in USA on a sPro 230 SLS system using Selective Laser Sintering. The incredible paint job is done by New Zealand air brush artist Ron Van Dam.
Americana 3D Printed Electric Guitar by Olaf Diegel is available for purchase at a price of US$4,000 on Cubify.com.
