How about a wedding cake worth $52 million? It surely seems like a joke, but it’s not. Cake, a bakery in Chester collaborated with Liverpool based bespoke jewelers Russell and Case to create the world’s most expensive wedding cake.
The six-tiered confection is one-and-a-half meters tall and is created by Chester baker Tim Smith exclusively for The National Gay Wedding Show. The cake is decorated with more than 2000 diamonds and is valued at staggering £32.4 million ($52.7 million).
The cake will be on display on March 3rd at BT Convention Centre at the Echo Arena in Liverpool for The National Gay Wedding Show. The previous record holder of the world’s most expensive wedding cake was valued at $20m.
