Manufacturers of high performance audio loudspeakers, Kentucky, US based THIEL Audio has introduced their latest product, the CS1.7 Coherent Source floorstanding loudspeaker.
Seen first in January at the Consumer Electronics Show, the two-way loudspeaker is precisely engineered to ensure minimum resonance and ultra wide bandwidth. The CS1.7 loudspeaker features a new tweeter which is a highly optimized version of one used in company’s popular model, the CS1.6.
The THIEL CS1.7 also features a new voice coil, new magnetic circuit and reengineered aluminum diaphragm using the latest laser measurement technology which results in greater linearity and lower distortion. The cabinet is 1-inch thick and the massive baffle is 2-inches thick and it is also equipped with a magnetically adhered grill which prevents any diffraction.
It also comes with a leveling feet along with an optional brushed aluminum Outrigger base. Weighing 23 kilograms and measuring 9.5 inches wide, 11.8 inches deep and 36.5 inches high, the CS1.7 floorstanding loudspeaker by THIEL Audio will set you back $3,999 per pair.
