The Aeroboat super yacht designed by Claydon Reeves is inspired by a fighter plane

UK based Superyacht Designers Claydon Reeves has unveiled one of the world’s fastest and most elegant small yachts that have been ever produced. Christened ‘The Aeroboat’, it was launched last night in London at the HR Owen Rolls-Royce showroom.

Taking inspiration from iconic Spitfire fighter plane, the luxurious speedboat will get its power from original Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. Weighing 7,700 kg and measuring 14.64, The Aeroboat will produce power output between 1,100 and 2,500 hp and the super yacht is expected to reach speeds over 50 knots.

Each super yacht will be built in Britain at a yard on the Solent from materials like carbon fiber, Kevlar and lightweight wood veneer. Based on a sports car design, the interior comes with leather stitching and a wooden dashboard. Shock-mounted design of the front seats are inspired by the Spitfire landing gear. The console comes with analogue gauges, touch-screen navigational systems and joystick throttle and switchgears.
