“That’s one small step for a man, a giant leap for mankind”, these were the famous words by Astronaut Neil Armstrong when he first set foot on the surface of the Moon in 1969.What if you can get your hands on some of the artifacts from one of the most significant moments in the history.
Amherst-based auction house RR Auction is offering several unique items from the Apollo 11 mission including EKG recording of the heartbeat of Neil Armstrong just before he set his foot on the Moon.
The original EKG strip is six inches long and is attached to a 7.5 x 9.5 presentation sheet. The EKG reading shows a normal heartbeat which tells that Neil was very calm at that historic moment.
EKG of Neil Armstrong heartbeat during his first step on the moon is expected to fetch over $3,000. More than 85 items from Apollo 11 material will be up for auction. The online auction will take place from May 16 to May 25.
