We all have to suffer at airports due to delayed flights and sometimes have to take a nap on the floor or on the hard metal chairs. However, if you are at Abu Dhabi International Airport you can get a peaceful sleep in the recently installed sleeping pods.
The ‘GoSleep’ sleeping pods were introduced on Sunday by the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC). Claimed to be as the “world’s first”, these Finnish-designed sleeping pods are high-tech chairs that can be transformed into flat beds.
The Pods are east to maneuver and can be enclosed fully or partially providing the occupant complete solitude from light, noise and crowd. You can get a nice sleep in these pods for about $12 per hour which you can pay using a credit card.
10 sleeping pods have been installed right now at Terminal 1 and 3 and additional 35 will be installed till the end of the year all over the airport. After the test phase of these hi-tech chairs will be completed, they will be upgraded with features like internet access, luggage storage space and charging sockets.
