To celebrate the life of William Shakespeare, one of the greatest playwright, actor and poet of all time, Italian manufacturer of writing instruments OMAS have collaborated with Shakespeare Birthplace Trust to produce a limited edition fountain pen. Crafted from antique silver and traditional oak wood, the writing instrument comes with an exquisite design work dedicated to the writer. The cap of the pen fully handmade in antique silver is decorated with friezes from Shakespeare’s time and features imprint of his signet ring, held in the archives of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

The right side displays reproduction of one of the most famous portraits of Shakespeare while the left features an image of him. Original Parish Register entry: “Gulielmus filius Johannes Shakspere” is engraved on the bottom of the pen. The 18kt gold nib is available in EF-B and italic and comes with engraving of William Shakespeare’s initials, W.S.

Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is dedicated to promote, preserve and understand the work, life and times of William Shakespeare. Thus, OMAS will be donating 5% of its income for every pen sold to support the trust. Omas William Shakespeare Anniversary Limited Edition fountain pen will be available from April 23 with a price tag of $3500.
