Boxer Cycles, UK based manufacturer of beautiful and most practical cargo trikes have unveiled their latest fun looking ride that will offer a unique travelling experience to you and your children. Dubbed Rocket, the cargo trike is inspired from Airliners of the 1930’s and undoubtedly is the world’s best looking cargo trike. Originally crafted as a one-off commission, the stunning Rocket family trike received so much love that the company decided to took it into production.
Manufactured from laser and water jet cut parts, the cargo trike comes with an ‘Art Deco’ Rocket design paired with unique 1930’s airliner inspired robust girder frame. The Boxer Rocket comes equipped with a central headlight, turn signal indicators, brake light and a pretty loud horn to get through traffic easily. The rider can simply control all these functions from a single instrument cluster on the handlebars.
The cockpit of the three-wheeler has two reclining and removable bench seats which can be folded flat to make a comfortable child’s bed or an adult seat. The rider can store his helmet and essentials in a secure locker located in the nose cone of the trike. According to Jeremy Davies, Boxer Cycles’ lead designer and managing director, the goal is to make every ride of their trikes inspirational to their riders, passengers and to passers-by that stop and look at them.
The stylish cargo trike will be offered in two versions: E-Rocket which will come with 36V – 11.4Ah / 250W electric drive system with LCD display and speedo and the basic Rocket model featuring Sturmey Archer 3sp hub with 8 speed derailleur giving 24 gears. The Boxer Rocket cargo trike will come with a price range between £4,800($7100) and £5,500($8150). The Rocket cargo trike by Boxer Cycles will be on display at the International Cargo Bike Festival 2015 in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
