If you are planning a long road trip this summer, here is an awesome solution that’ll make all your packing worries go away. Gidget, Australian-based manufacturer of innovative spacious campers with contemporary features have released their latest caravanning solution in the form of Gidget Retro Teardrop camper. Reinventing the classic Teardrop campers of the 1930s which grew in popularity until the mid 1960s, Gidget have packed their new camper with modern amenities. Despite all the modification, makers of the camper have tried to keep the original look of a classic retro teardrop intact.
The journey of Gidget Retro Teardrop Camper began back in 2013 when Glenn Wills and Christine Bree started work on concept and design of the camper. After developing materials, adding features, finishing process and road testing the custom Gidget prototype over 45,000+ kilometers, the camper finally made it to production.
Although the camper looks miniature as compared to a caravan, it is designed innovatively to match the space needs of the travelers. The unique patented slide-out feature of the camper almost doubles its internal space in one simple and quick action. The Gidget Retro Teardrop Camper is packed with smart features which you‘d expect in high budget caravan such as fully functioning kitchen, comfortable Queen-size bed, pressurized water, LED lighting, 12/240 volt power and authentic retro fabric for the curtains sourced from California.
Some other features are solar panel system, rotating entertainment console, internal lounge, fold-up table conversion and safety elements like security alarm system / anti-theft device and duress alarm. The Gidget Retro Teardrop Camper is now available globally with a pocket-friendly price tag of £10,000($15,000).
