Well-known for its automotive expertise, Italian atelier Zagato has recently collaborated with German brand Leica AG to create a set of limited edition binoculars, Ultravid 8×32 ‘Edition Zagato.’ Its streamlined sleek and industrial-styled design is combined with cutting-edge optical technology.
Stylish layout of the binoculars is made out of aluminum, featuring hundreds of grooves on its outer shell to offer unique haptic sensation. Moreover, its front lenses boast two red anodized rings inscribed with ‘Zagato.’ This exquisite piece of magnifying peepers is not only aesthetic, but also includes brilliant controls to maximize visibility.
Its groovy and compact layout offers firm grip along with ample space to place fingers around it comfortably. Both sections of the lenses are equipped with smooth springs, allowing easy sideways opening and closing of binoculars.
To make it more convenient and travel-friendly, the limited edition set of binoculars also includes a case designed by Zagato and matching carrying strap as well as hand strap in genuine Italian leather. Due to its case and easy to hold straps, the binoculars are easy to carry along with you in your travel bag.
This stunning Leica Ultravid 8×32 binocular is limited to only 1,000 pieces and will be available commercially from September 2015 at selected Leica stores. However, these special edition binoculars would surely make a burning hole in your pocket, as these come with a hefty price tag of about $3,800.
