Mr. Porter, award-winning global retail destination for men’s style has joined hands with BMW i to unveil a limited edition electric car. A sub-brand of the German luxury automobile manufacturer, BMW i was founded in 2011 to design and manufacture plug-in electric vehicles. The city ready BMW i3 used for this unique collaboration is designed to reflect Mr. Porter’s aesthetic values along with BMW’s technical excellence.
Flaunting an exclusive tuxedo blue color, the limited edition BMW i3 by Mr. Porter is equipped with a 170-hp 4.4-electric motor. The emission-free electric car can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 7.2 seconds. The design team from both the brands have used capparis white accent running along the chassis which of course are inspired by men’s bespoke tailoring. The interior of the car is designed in dark oak wood with variety of tones and grain patterns. Also, the floor mats comes with stylish white stitching details and Dalbergia brown piping.
Well, that’s not all; the limited edition BMW i3 electric car will include some cool accessories as well. It will come with a Mr. Porter essentials travel kit that packs a BMW leather holdall bag and a Leica C camera. Besides that, a Lock & Co. bowler hat, Cutler and Gross sunglasses will be included. There will be a black-and-white London Undercover umbrella and a bespoke edition of Phaidon City Guide Books as well in the package.
Exclusively available on mrporter.com on Feb. 18, the i3 electric car from BMW i and Mr. Porter will come with a retail price of 39,000 pounds ($56,365).
