The Slow Mo Guys on YouTube are showing off the incredible power of fireworks in extremely slow mo footage. You may have seen a fiery Catherine Wheel, a kind of fireworks. Usually you need a tree, fire, and spinning for such kind of circular sparks. But Slow Mo Guys took it to another level by creating a human Catherine Wheel using a burning steel wool.
For this homemade version of Catherine wheel, the crazy Russian hacker lit a wire brush on fire and spun it over his head. While doing so another chap recorded the video on Phantom Flex 4K high-speed camera that has captured the majestically spinning human fireworks display at 1000 frames per second.
The video slows down to show you every minute detail of sparks bursting in a circular motion. This footage is absolutely magical, creating beauty out of destruction. However, it’s recommended not to try this human Catherine wheel at home.
If you care to notice, you can see in the video that Dan and Gav have watered the lawn before trying the stunt, and also wore safety goggles. Although the sparks don’t burn long, but it could seriously injure one’s eyes if not done carefully. So, we would suggest not to try this at home. You can surely enjoy the magnificently heated fireworks in the video though.
