Recently at New York Times International Luxury Conference in Versailles, HP has unveiled the impossibly slim HP Spectre 13.3 laptop. According to the company, it is the world’s thinnest laptop measuring just 10.4mm thick (that’s even thinner than the Apple MacBook Air). The sleekest laptop features CNC machined aluminum chassis, giving it an impeccable aesthetic appeal. Although the laptop already look stylish, but what makes it even more interesting is that it’s also available in limited edition gold-plated and diamond-encrusted versions.

HP has brought on two celebrity designers Tord Boontje and Jess Hannah to add some bling to the slimmest laptop body. Dutch-born, London-based designer Tord Boontje is behind the sparkling diamond-studded laptop design. The device designed by him exhibits delicate and intricate patterns including cherry blossoms, peacock, florals and exquisite butterfly. To add more to its beauty, the patterns are embellished with Swarovski crystals and 18K gold plated accents. A deep Midnight Blue color of the laptop forms strikingly rich contrast with shiny gold and diamond crystals.

On the other hand, 18K gold HP Spectre has been designed by Jess Hannah, Los Angeles-based jewelry designer of eponymous line J. Hannah. The notebook top and rear plated in 18K gold with a highly polished finish are the highlights of this ultra-thin device. Some bling is added to the design with diamond-studded HP logo. Each diamond is carefully settled onto the logo. To match the outer body, even the keyboard deck is plated in 18K gold and power button is covered with diamonds.

Both the laptops are impressive to look at, but that doesn’t mean they are missing advanced technical specifications. These versions feature a full HD resolution screen, as well as, Intel Core i5 and Core 7 processors to meet your computing needs. Three USB Type C connectors, storage up to 512GB, and memory options up to 8GB of RAM are also available in both versions. Moreover, carbon fiber parts and AAA battery are used for making HP Spectre the world’s lightest laptop.

These limited number of devices from each designer will be auctioned at the Cannes Film Festival in May. All proceeds from the sales will be going to the Nelson Mandela Foundation. Preorders for the laptops will be starting on April 25th for staring price US $1,170. However, the device set will hit the market on May 22nd, starting at $1,250.
