For those who want to take cosplay to whole new level, have a look at these outstanding medieval renditions of superheroes and supervillains. These dramatic suits are created by cosplayer extraordinaire Samuel Lee, founder and leading construction artist for design studio Prince Armory. Since 2007, the studio has been handcrafting several armors for commercials, movies and top-tier cosplayers.
Modeled after some of the iconic superheroes and supervillains from Marvel comics, each armor suit highlights modern characteristics of a specific character along with slickest parts of medieval armor.
Just have a look at the incredible armor suits of Batman, Darth Vader, Joker and Iron Man. You’ll find immense amount of medieval detailing that effortlessly blends with original attributes of these iconic comic characters. However, our personal favorite is the Batman costume that’s accentuated by the well-known bat logo on the hilt and the broad sword that medieval Batman is holding.
To call any of these medieval armor suits your own, you can commission Lee for your tailor-made piece. But for each once-of-a-kind superhero crossover pieces, you need to pay a hefty price ranging between $7,000 to $15,000.
Check out the images below to have closer look at the remarkable work done by Samuel Lee, and for order-requests you may contact him on Prince Armory’s website.
