McLaren unveils all-electric P1 supercar for kids under six

British automaker McLaren has whipped the covers off its all-electric P1 supercar. But don’t jump off your seats already, as this luxury ride is only for kids under the age of six. Yes, you read that right. Now, kids will be able to drive the luxury supercar, which adults cannot get their hand on. This McLaren F1 supercar for kids shines in Volcano Yellow color and features a central driving position.

What makes this little P1 more interesting is its open roof, but the car still retains McLaren’s signature dihedral doors. The acceleration is startling, and the speed dash takes just two seconds to go from zero to maximum speed. However, the top speed is less than 5 km/h, keeping children’s safety in mind.

It also features a three-speed forward transmission with reverse gear for more comfortable driving. Besides all that, the supercar also has ventilation, lights, and a push button start. Another highlight that all kids will love is its pre-programmed MP3 player, which comes preloaded with nursery rhymes like Hickory Dickory Dock.

Your kid will certainly be the coolest on the block with this amazing ride that has everything to impress any three- to six-year-old car lover. Starting this October, the electric P1 will be available at selected McLaren dealers for £375 (approx. US $486.43). Later it will also roll at global toy retailers.
