CoolGeek, an innovative industrial designer’s team from Denmark has come up with a modern hi-tech coffee table. Dubbed Soundesk, the stylish table is a perfect combination of modern furniture and technology. Soundesk is a round glass coffee table with a conical base that packs a built-in Bluetooth speaker to offer 360-degree surround sound. Soundesk’s minimalist design with finely crafted metal base and beautiful glass table surface is ideal for small living spaces.
The brain behind the table speaker’s design is a team of furniture makers, industrial designers and experienced audio engineers. They have created a masterpiece in the form of Soundesk by perfectly blending modern technology and contemporary art. The sturdy metal base of the wireless speaker is made from CNC finished aircraft-quality aluminum whereas the top is made of 11mm clear European ore tempered glass. This adds to the durability and enhanced sound quality of the hi-tech table.
The acoustically designed perforated speaker holes improve the bass effect that can impart theater-like sound to any room. Soundesk comes with an array of 5 high fidelity speakers inside that delivers a stereo power of 80 watts. A fully immersive audio experience is provided by Dual pressure air compression super bass system that adds considerable boost in bass and sound quality. This also ensures to deliver clear and deep sound at low level volumes.
Soundesk comes with built-in vibration damping so that objects such as a coffee cup remain stable on its top when music is being played. The 2-in-1 table comes with a single button that lets you play music and switch between modes. You just have to press twice to switch modes between Bluetooth and AUX. Soundesk by CoolGeek can be fully charged through a USB type C cable in under 4 hours. According to CoolGeek, it has an outstanding standby time of three months.
CoolGeek Designs is running a Kickstarter campaign for the Soundesk Bluetooth speaker. As for now, it has collected US$ 4,732 against its $10,000 goal with 20 days left. Super early birds can book one by pledging US$399 to their product on Kickstarter. If the campaign will be successful, Soundesk speaker table will come to the market with a price tag of US $699.
