Leica, German Camera manufacturer and Fender Custom Shop is celebrating the work of pre-eminent Guitarist Andy Summers. The companies have unveiled a limited edition Camera and Guitar set to pay homage to his work. Andy, a well-known English guitarist was a member of the rock band ‘the Police’ and also recorded solo albums. However, besides being a guitarist he is also an impressive photographer who has exhibited his photography in number of galleries.

The Leica M Monochrom “Signature” camera comes adorned with collage of monochrome photos from Andy’s collection. Moreover, the special edition camera sports a glossy finish, silver chrome hardware and a graceful red line engraving of Andy’s signature. Also, the camera comes with a Leica Summicron-M f/2 35mm ASPH lens with a vintage lens hood.
A Fender guitar-inspired camera strap along with an OBERWERTH leather bag completes the camera set. The Leica M Monochrom Signature by Andy Summers is limited to 50 units only. They are already available at Leica Stores and Boutiques worldwide for huge price tag of $14,995.

Just like the camera, the limited edition Andy Summers Monochrome Strat Guitar is custom-wrapped with a collage of monochrome photos taken by Summers with his Leica cameras. Crafted by Masterbuilder Dennis Galuszka, the two-piece select alder body wears a NOS urethane finish. The guitar features a cute red camera dot inlay at the 15th fret. The hand-wound Custom Shop ‘60s Strat pickups are controlled with cool, Leica-style volume and tone knobs.
The Monochrome Strat comes with Summer’s signature engraved on the neck plate. Furthermore, it boasts an American Vintage synchronized tremolo, bone nut and wing string tree. The Fender signature by Andy Summers will come with a deluxe hardshell case, custom strap and a certificate of Authenticity. The guitar is also limited to 50 units and will come with a price of $12,500.
