Decathlon, the largest sporting goods retailer in the world has unveiled their new camping tent that can be set up in seconds. Called the 2-second easy tent, it is claimed to be the world’s easiest tent to pitch and breakdown by the brand. The French sporting goods retailer have launched few 2 second camping test in the past as well. However, their latest offering is equipped with the latest inventive technology. Decathlon have used its patented set-up and breakdown technology for the tent’s creative design.
The new 2-second easy tent from Decathlon will make setting up camp a lot easier, especially for new campers. One simply have to pull the handle to set up the tent for camping after a long day trek. Also, a push of a button will break it down when you are good to go in the morning. This tent was developed over a period of four years through the efforts of engineers, designers and product managers. The main aim was to improve the folding action and compactness compared to the previous models. According to Fabien Marescaux, product designer at Quechua, the highlight of the tent is its refolding feature. It is far and away the easiest breakdown of any tent the brand have ever produced.
This compact tent weighs around 4.5 kg and can accommodate 2 adults comfortably. Also, the tent is waterproof and can stand winds up to 30mph. Besides that, it comes with Decathlon’s exclusive blackout and fresh fabric which is 30°F cooler and 99% darker. The all-new 2 second easy tent comes with more internal space then the earlier models. Also, it offers greater peak height and self-supporting patented structure. There are repairable parts offered with the tent and it also comes with a 5 year warranty.
