Tesla and Radio Flyer creates Tesla Model Y-based ride-on toy car

‘My First Model Y’ toy car

Do you remember the $35,000 Bugatti Baby II electric toy car which we featured here a couple of weeks back? Considering the price, it was clear that the luxury toy car was only for the super wealthy. However, today we are bringing to you a much affordable toy car that your kids will love to ride. Called ‘My First Model Y’, the ride-on toy car is a kid’s version of the Tesla Model Y electric SUV. The toy car is created by American toy company Radio Flyer in partnership with Tesla Design Studio.

‘My First Model Y’ toy car is a scaled down version of Tesla Model Y and carries authentic design details of the electric SUV. However, it is not electric and the kids will have to rely on their feet power to enjoy a ride. It is aimed at babies and toddlers aged 18 months to four years old. The body design and ergonomic seat are designed to offer high level of comfort to toddlers while riding. Besides that, the ride-on car delivers superior Tesla experience with features like working steering and a honking horn.

Measuring 26.57-inch in length, 11.57-inch in width and 15.04-inch in height, ‘My First Model Y’ toy car weighs around 8.38 lb (3.8kg). The weight capacity of the toy car is 43 lbs (approx. 19.5 kg). The sit-down car comes with black induction wheels with rubber grip tread. The mini kid’s version of the Tesla Model Y comes with a price tag of $99.99. Interested parents can pre-order one right now with shipping expected to start on September 11, 2020.

Tesla and Radio Flyer have teamed up before as well to create the Tesla Model S for Kids. It is an electric mini version of the original and comes with a price tag of $499.99.
