French company Qaou has recently released its eco-friendly design of the latest two-person Beluga 6-in-1 tent. It consists of a waterproof fabric based on recycled plastic. Each tent is the result of 125 repurposed plastic bottles. This makes your camping experience a little greener than before.
The best thing about this modular, shape-shifting tent is its ability to be transformed into six different formats. It can cater as a usual tent, a cocoon hammock, a tent with an awning, a roof-like shelter, a tarp, or two separate open hammocks. So, you can easily rearrange it as per the location, the weather, and the number of people camping with you.

The portable and adjustable Beluga tent conveniently transforms according to your needs. This tent can accommodate two people. However, you may even attach multiple tents to form a large camping base.
Beluga features an inner enclosure that is fixed in place with aluminum rods and covered with an outer for shielding the interior from environmental elements, like sun and rain. The tent even comes with an awning for fixing it to the entrance of the tent for providing a shaded patio space just outside the tent.
The awning and outer clad of the tent further double up as two separate hammocks or an individual hammock with its cover to relax in some shade. These parts can also be set up as roofed shelter just away from the tent or outside a caravan or RV.

Another interesting fact about this tent is its name “Beluga,’ which is named after beluga, a large white whale found in the Arctic Ocean. While some people may find it impractical to design a tent in white due to dirt and mud contact in outdoor locations, its color is so in honor of the recycled plastic water bottle waste.
The plastic waste used for manufacturing makes the tent waterproof and also repels dirt and mud with ease. This means the all-white tent will remain white no matter where it’s pitched. The white hue also makes the tent cooler from inside during the day. Moreover, the aluminum poles used to hold this tent in place are created with a lower carbon footprint too. This means your while camping experience will be a bliss for you and mother nature as well.
The company has launched a Kickstarter campaign for promoting this eco-friendly tent and raising funds for its production. The full 6-in-1 Beluga packages start at €199 (approx. US $227) pledge level. You may even grab the offer for 3-in-1 tent and hammock-only packages at lower pledges. If all goes well, the deliveries will begin in December.
