It was in 2015 when wildlife photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE along with photographer Tom Sullam started the Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards competition. The main objective was wildlife conservation and to entertain people with these photographs and engage them with the threats these animals are facing. Also, to make people empathize with them as fellow inhabitants of the same planet. Since its inception, the competition has grown into a global event that sees thousands of entries every year from across the globe.
